JOZEFA PATALAS March 11, 1927 - March 16, 2005 Peacefully on March 16, 2005, Jozefa Ziutka passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 78 years. Jozefa is survived by her loving husband Kazimierz; son Jacek (Soledad); daughter Ewa (Richard); grandchildren, Alexander and Cristina Patalas; sister-in-law Maria Szakalski; nephew Kazimierz (Jolanta) Czaplinski; goddaughter Rena Czaplinski and other relatives and friends around the world, especially in Poland. She was predeceased by her parents, Antoni and Maria; brother Kazimierz and sister Stanislawa. Jozefa was born in Zaleszczyki, Poland and came to Canada in 1967 with her husband and children. She was an aquatic biologist and published several scientific papers. Jozefa was an active member of Church organizations and supported World Vision Canada. Jozefa was a wonderful wife and mother and will be deeply missed. The family would like to thank the staff on 7th West and Palliative Care units at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassionate care. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Andrew Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion St. Interment will follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jozefa's memory to CancerCare Manitoba or to World Vision Canada. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
